Client:
One of the largest banks
Location:
Germany
Objective:
This huge bank was suffering from a problem of networking
their computers. The bank had grown so drastically
over the years that they now had approximately 10
main frames, around 100 mid-range computers and thousands
of PC terminals. The network had become so large that
it was not functioning up to the best effectiveness.
The objective of this project was to provide statistics
to enable the IT department at the bank to optimize
the performance of the network with planning for any
future expansions, as well.
Challenges:
The database that was being worked with was exceptionally
huge with an enormous log of traffic.
There was unusual heavy processing required analyzing
on a daily basis the huge volume of data.
Data was all of top confidentiality.
Scope of Work:
>>Simulated a data base through the development
of a database creator, conforming to all the existing
parameters with the required data fields, but by inserting
“dummy data” or false data, thus able to simulate
further development activities properly.
>>Simulated a platform of processing by using
an extremely portable development environment which
would enable to process the enormous amount of data
and port it back to the main frame with minimum effort
and efficiency.
>>Project was accepted and approved by customer.
Received permission to submit a paper about scope
of project in on of World Class One International
Conferences.
